This recipe is now popularly prepared in Goa. It is actually a chicken gravy recipe prepared in Goan style consisting of Chicken and spicy masala gravy.<br /><br />Ingredients:<br />(Serves 2)<br />- 1/2 kg Chicken<br />- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder<br />- 1 tsp Lemon Juice<br />- Salt<br />- 2 Cinnamon Sticks<br />- 3 Green Cardamoms<br />- 5-6 Black Pepper Corns<br />- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds<br />- 5-6 Cloves<br />- 1 tsp Poppy Seeds (crushed)<br />- 4-5 Green Chillies<br />- 5-6 Garlic cloves<br />- 1 cup Coriander Leaves (chopped)<br />- 1/2 tsp Sugar<br />- 1 tbsp Vinegar<br />- 1 inch Ginger<br />- Water<br />- 4-5 tbsp Oil<br />- 1 cup Onion (chopped)<br />- 1 cup Tomato (chopped)<br />- 2 tbsp Chilli Sauce<br />- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce<br />- 1 tbsp Tomato Ketchup<br />- Salt<br /><br /><br />Method:<br />1. Take chicken in a bowl and add turmeric powder, lemon juice, salt and mix it.<br />2. Now heat a pan, add cinnamon sticks, green cardamoms, black pepper corns, cumin seeds, cloves and crushed poppy seeds.<br />3. Take the dry masala, green chillies, garlic cloves, crush coriander leaves, sugar, vinegar and ginger in a blender. Blend these ingredients by adding some water as well and make a paste.<br />4. Pour this paste into the chicken, mix it properly and keep the chicken aside now for marination.<br />5. Heat a wok, add oil, finely chopped onion, tomato, chilli sauce, soy sauce, tomato ketchup and salt. Keep the flame low.<br />6. Now pour the marinated chicken into this mixture in wok. And saute it properly.<br />7. Cover the wok with a lid and cook this chicken for some time till it becomes soft.<br />8. Turn off the flame once the chicken is cooked well. Now your Chicken Cafreal is ready to be served!
